86. John HAYNES²²³ was born about 1750 in Isle of Wright, Surry Co., VA. He died of smallpox on 25 April 1835 at the age of 85 in Grainger Co., TN.²²³ John came to TN about 1790. He was a farmer and mechanic, and served as magistrate of Grainger County, and was chairman of the county court when he died. He kept a well known public house in Hickory Valley in Grainger Co., TN and after he died his wife and William (his son) ran it.
Mary MCCARVER and John HAYNES were married about 1780.²²⁴

87. Mary MCCARVER was born about 1760 in Paxtang, Dauphin Co., PA.²²⁵

Sarah HAYNES²²⁶ was born on 14 December 1782 in Surry Co., NC. She appeared in the census in 1870 in District 4, Union Co., TN. Living with son, John Lane, in 1870;
Sariah, 87, F, W, NC
She died on 2 December 1872 at the age of 89 in Union Co., TN. The Boone Co., IN book says her father was David Hines.

Sterling HAYNES was born about 1791 in Grainger Co., TN.²²⁵
iv.
Christian HAYNES was born about 1792 in Grainger Co., TN.²²⁵
v.
William HAYNES²²³ was born in March 1787 in Surrey Co., VA.^223,225 Cook has ca 1793 in Grainger.
He died before 1860 at the age of 73 in TN. Came to TN when a small boy.
vi.
Zilpha "Zelphy" HAYNES was born about 1795 in VA.²²⁵ She died before 1880 at the age of 85.

Isaac HAYNES was born about 1800 in Grainger Co., TN.²²⁵
viii.
Nancy HAYNES was born on 1 March 1803 in Grainger Co., TN.²²⁵ She died on 14 February 1881 at the age of 77 in Sebastian Co., AR.²²⁵ She was buried in February 1881 in Jenny Lind Cemetery, Greenwood, Sebastian Co., AR.
ix.
Carlisle HAYNES was born about 1805 in Haynes Flat, TN. He died before 1880 at the age of 75 in Union Co., TN. Probably not the son of Mary McCarver Haynes.
