He died on 14 October 1960 at the age of 63 in Hancock Co., IN. Duard was raised by Aunt Dora and Uncle Charlie after death of his mother. Hubert and Jack were evidently raised by Henley and 2nd wife, but could have been raised the same as Duard. Evidently the second wife was mean to the first three boys. Bertha Emma WILLIAMS and Duard Lawrence JOHNSON Sr. were married on 22 July 1918. They appeared in the census in 1920 in Center Twp., Marion Co., IN. 7. Bertha Emma WILLIAMS was born on 8 October 1900 in Covington, Campbell Co., KY. She died on 23 October 1964 at the age of 64 in Hancock Co., IN.

William Henley JOHNSON was born on 25 July 1920 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN. In 1946 he was a Mechanic in IN. Divorced from 1st wife on 22 Jan 1944 in Hancock Co., IN. Wm. Henley had custody of Carol Lee Johnson (3 years old at time of 2nd marriage, 1946)

Clarence E. Johnson, 82, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010, at the Ellison House of Greenfield.
He was born April 8, 1928 in Hancock County and is the son of the late Duard L. and Bertha E. (Williams) Johnson.
He was postmaster at Maxwell for 33 years, owner of Johnson's General Store and a school bus driver. He was a member of the Eden Lodge #477 F. & A. M., I.O.O.F. #135, Greenfield National Association of U. S. Postmasters, National Association of Federal Employees, and Trinity Park United Methodist Church of Greenfield.
Surviving include his wife, Peggy J. (Willing) Johnson of Greenfield; sons, Fred E. (Alberta) Johnson of Greenfield, and Cleve A. (Lisa) Johnson of Greenfield; four grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sisters, Eva May Clapp of Greensburg, and Betty Jean Stevens of Greenfield; and a brother, William H. Johnson of Greenfield.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Lou Stephenson; sisters, Thelma Marie Haywood, and Addie L. Bennett; and brothers, Duard L. Johnson, Jr. and Meredith P. Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel in Greenfield. There will be no graveside services. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday with Eden Masonic Lodge #477 F. & A. M., services at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Park United Methodist Church, Alzheimer's Association or Parkinson's Association. Clarence graduated from Maxwell High School, Maxwell, IN. Clarence and Peggy operated a general store in Maxwell for almost 12 years. Clarence was a school bus driver for 6 years and Maxwell Postmaster for 33 years, retiring December 1989.
